Candidate Website
Why are you running for East Lansing City Council?
I am running to retaining the seat that I was appointed to last summer and feel I have a lot to add post pandemic.
What are your main policy goals if elected to the EL city council?
I want to improve our access to attainable housing, support for small business, improved relationship with MSU addressing infrastructure and the environment.
What makes you stand out from the other candidates running?
Experience in the role has been priceless and my background in the private sector. I tend to move much strongly and rapidly on issue the people who have a more public leaning. Call it urgency
How would you improve the city’s relationship with Michigan State University?
Due to Covid, we have many areas of overlap and communication around health and safety. The lines of communication are completely available and I think that we can grow and make sure students have a bigger voice in local government
How do you plan on involving residents in East Lansing to build a better community?
Everyone is completely welcome to participate in every level of government. We have many boards and commissions that allow for direct input into your community. Phone calls, emails, etc. all are welcome. We will also hold round tables and listening sessions on any major decision made by the city.
